AAEON has unveiled the UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air, a compact PC powered by the third-generation Intel Core Ultra Panther Lake processors. The device replaces traditional cooling fans with the Frore Systems AirJet ultrasonic membrane cooling technology.
This design choice significantly alters the physical profile of the unit. Compared to the standard UP Xtreme PTL Edge model, the new version is 35% thinner and 43% lighter. The device measures 35.8 mm in thickness, though these changes result in a 6% increase in power consumption and a restricted operating temperature range of -10 to +45 degrees Celsius.
The system operates with a noise level below 21 dB(A) and eliminates fan-related vibrations. It is intended for use in space-constrained environments, such as self-service kiosks, mobile medical units, and compact AMR chassis.
Users can choose between Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, Ultra 7 356, or Ultra 5 325 processors. Connectivity options include two M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD slots, a wireless network card slot, two USB-C 40Gbps ports, two 2.5GbE RJ-45 ports, two COM ports, and a 40-pin GPIO header.
