The Aaeon Up Xtreme PTL Edge Air is a new industrial mini-PC featuring Intel Panther Lake processors, including the Core Ultra X7 358H. The device utilizes the Frore AirJet solid-state ultrasonic cooling system, which operates at a noise level of no more than 21 dBA.
The implementation of the AirJet cooling technology allows the unit to be 35% thinner and 43% lighter than traditional fan-cooled systems. The design eliminates vibrations and is intended for space-constrained environments such as medical equipment, terminals, and autonomous mobile robots.
Connectivity options include standard USB ports, LAN, audio/video interfaces, two COM ports, and a 40-pin GPIO. The system supports up to four displays and features Intel Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe cores in the top-tier configuration.
The hardware supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 SODIMM memory at 7200 MT/s, along with two M.2 2280 slots for SSDs and one M.2 2230 slot for wireless modules. Users can choose between Windows IoT Enterprise or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS operating systems.
The cooling solution results in a 6% increase in power consumption and an operating temperature range of -10 to +45 degrees Celsius. Pricing for the industrial-grade system is not publicly disclosed and requires direct contact with the manufacturer.
