The new 8BitDo Ultimate 3C+ wireless controller is now available for pre-order on Amazon at a price of $39.99. The official market launch for the device is scheduled for October 30. This model serves as a more budget-friendly alternative to the company's previously announced special edition series.
The controller maintains the standard Xbox-style layout with offset thumb sticks and ABXY buttons. It supports connectivity via Bluetooth 5.4 LE, USB-C, and a 2.4 GHz wireless connection. The latter provides a 1 kHz polling rate to minimize input latency during gameplay.
Hardware specifications include TMR joysticks with adjustable tension and Hall effect triggers that support both linear and non-linear modes. The device also features lockable back paddles, additional L/R4 shoulder buttons, and dedicated vibration motors for the triggers.
The internal 500 mAh battery provides up to 20 hours of operation when using the 2.4 GHz connection. When connected via Bluetooth, the battery life extends to 32 hours. The controller also includes an integrated magnetic storage slot for the 2.4 GHz receiver.
