8BitDo has officially launched the Arcade Controller Pro in China. The device features a compact layout and includes a 1.47-inch smart display. During the initial launch period, the controller is priced at ¥699 and comes with a protective carrying case.
The controller supports hot-swappable switches and is equipped with Kailh low-profile switches featuring POM stems. These switches have a 0.8mm actuation distance and a 40gf actuation force. The device also includes an additional P5 button and integrated RGB backlighting.
The hardware offers multiple connectivity options with varying latency: 2.08ms via USB, 3.7ms over 2.4GHz, and 5ms via Bluetooth. A 3000mAh battery provides over 40 hours of operation. The main chassis thickness has been reduced to 16mm, compared to 22mm in the previous model.
Design improvements include a magnetic palm rest, a dedicated storage area for accessories, and a locking mechanism for the top USB-C port. The controller also features an additional USB-C port on the left side and a tempered glass panel designed for quick removal.
