3iQ Middle East Ltd, a subsidiary of the crypto investment manager 3iQ Corp., has secured in-principle approval for a Category 4 license from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market. This regulatory milestone allows the company to move forward with its plans to establish operations in the region.

The Category 4 license authorizes the firm to provide advisory services and non-discretionary investment arrangements. Under this model, the company can recommend and facilitate deals, while clients maintain final decision-making authority over their transactions.

This development follows a strategic partnership between 3iQ and the local digital asset manager Further. The collaboration focuses on expanding institutional access to digital assets via 3iQ’s Managed Account Platform, known as QMAP, which has already secured $100 million in seed capital linked to sovereign investment.

While the approval marks a significant step, 3iQ Middle East must fulfill additional regulatory requirements before receiving full operational permissions. The company has not provided a specific timeline for completing these final conditions.
