Decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch has reached a cumulative swap volume of over $814 billion since its launch in May 2019. Despite this activity, co-founder Sergej Kunz stated that the protocol has not yet achieved profitability, citing the insufficient scale of the DeFi market to generate sustainable revenue.
In 2025, the protocol processed $214 billion in trades across approximately 114 million transactions, marking a 39% year-over-year increase. Currently, the 1INCH token trades between $0.07 and $0.09, with a market capitalization ranging from $100 million to $130 million.
The platform now supports more than 13 blockchains and has introduced technologies like Fusion and Fusion+ to facilitate intent-based and cross-chain execution. Additionally, a partnership with Ondo Finance for tokenized real-world assets generated over $3 billion in volume by March 2026.
The team is preparing to launch the Aqua protocol, which is designed to create shared liquidity pools to address fragmentation across various chains and trading venues. The company continues to focus on competitive fee structures to maintain its position as a leading aggregator.
